Building Capital is presented by Karl Dakin, an award winning educator, speaker and entrepreneur who has been raising capital for 35 years.

This presentation of Building Capital is an educational workshop that will show you how to plan a capital campaign, to identify and target all capital sources, to select those capital transactions that best align with your mission, to develop your pitch and how to present it, and how to close a capital transaction.

Capital sources include banks, angel investors, venture capitalists, partners, employees, suppliers, resellers, customers, foundations, civic organizations and government agencies.

Capital transactions include debt, equity, revenue share/royalties, grants, and gifts.

Capital includes money, people, equipment, facilities, intellectual property, and products or services.

Every business raising capital should know all of its options and their respective advantages and disadvantages.

You should attend this workshop if you are an entrepreneur, small business owner, charity manager or leader of a civic organization seeking to raise capital in Colorado in 2015.

“I recently attended Karl's workshop on Building Capital. For a novice in business like me, it was enlightening. Karl developed a logical sequence of identifying your key capital needs, and then provided a suite of alternatives and how to match them to your specific company goals. All of these terms that were confusing to me are now clear. Karl's seminar is highly recommended.”

Julio Zimbron, Assistant Research Professor, Colorado State University

“There is no "French pastry" in the advice offered by Karl. He is a master at helping emerging business leaders identify and access alternative sources of funding to startup and accelerate their ventures. He takes what he does very seriously in a niche where there is a desperate need for sound advice.”

   Michael Scott, Global Book Barista

"A thousand thanks again for inviting us to your workshop today! 1,000% timely and valuable material and boy the ideas are flying around now!  Thanks again for a GREAT workshop today!

    Rick Swetsch, interSector Partners, L3C

“I just attended Karl's Business Capital workshop and it was worth every penny! I took away ideas that I'm already putting to use. I'm glad I took the workshop before I started my latest business adventure. Karl's ideas are going to make this startup easier, faster, and financially solid.
Thank you Karl!”
